Exploring Mombasa is a curated platform. Listings should be accurate, professionally presented and ready to serve guests.
A genuine operating business
You must be authorised to list and manage the accommodation, tour, experience or transport service.

Reliable guest communication
Respond to booking messages promptly and keep guests informed before arrival or service delivery.

These are the main things businesses usually need to know before switching on business access.
Are there any joining or listing fees?
No. There is no fee to activate business access or publish an approved listing. Travel bookings carry the applicable booking commission. Paid event tickets carry a 7% fee per ticket sold through Exploring Mombasa; free events have no ticket-sale commission.
Do I need a separate partner account?
No. Exploring Mombasa uses one account. If you already have My Coast or My Tide, use the same login and add business access when you are ready to manage a listing.
Can I post an offer without becoming a partner?
Yes. Offers are open for public submission and do not require registration. You can post an offer here. All submissions are reviewed before publication.
Who can apply?
Professionally run accommodation businesses, tours, experiences and transport services operating along Kenya’s coast may apply. Event organisers can also submit events and use Exploring Mombasa ticketing.
Can I manage my own listing?
Yes. Partners can add and update their business information, rates, availability and other listing details through the partner dashboard.
How do accommodation payments work?
Accommodation partners can require a deposit or full payment when the guest books. Exploring Mombasa deducts the commission and sends the partner’s balance before the guest arrives, subject to the cancellation policy.
What happens when only a deposit is paid?
Exploring Mombasa collects the required deposit and deducts the applicable commission. The accommodation collects the outstanding balance directly from the guest according to the terms shown during booking.
How are booking and ticket fees calculated?
Accommodation, tours, experiences and transport are charged 10% on confirmed bookings made through Exploring Mombasa. Paid event tickets are charged 7% per ticket sold, including payment processing.
What does event ticketing cost?
There is no setup or monthly organiser fee. Exploring Mombasa charges 7% per paid ticket sold through our ticketing system, with payment processing included. If the event is free, there is no ticket-sale commission.
