The Annual Zawadi Bazaar is a popular event among students, local community members & SMEs. In 2023, more than 1500 people from around Mombasa came to this fun-filled day where over 70 vendors sold various items, such as jewelry, clothing, food and more.
The purpose of this event is to contribute towards the Aga Khan Academy Students’ Citizenship Fund, a fund which financially underwrites the student-led community service projects. Further, the event acts to encourage student leadership and community entrepreneurship efforts.
The individuals participating at the Bazaar will be our students, parents, staff, and their families, in addition to members of the community.
