Kaleidoscope returns to Watamu for two days of electronic music, immersive art, workshops, vendors and creative programming on the shores of Mida Creek. The 2026 edition is promoted as a limited-capacity event.
Every year, Kaleidoscope Festival transforms Watamu into one big mystical groove.
In previous years, Kaleidoscope Festival has taken place at Temple Point Watamu – a laid-back resort on the eastern edge of Mida Creek, about 6km away from central Watamu.
The event describes itself as a “a unique 3 day festival featuring +40 DJs tattoos, vendors, yoga & the finest electronic music”.
If electronic music and oontz beats aren’t typically your thing, you’ll probably make an exception for Kaleidoscope as many of the DJ sets feature Kenyan artists, giving the festival a local electronic, afro-house sound.
Plus the setting is amazing. Under a tumble of UV lights, massive art installation, and swaying palm trees – Kaleidoscope Watamu is a feast for the senses. Especially when the sun goes down and the DJ’s come out to play.
