Women golfers from across East Africa will gather on Kenya’s coastline from 3 to 8 August for the 2026 Ladies Coast Golf Open Festival.
The festival will move through five of the Coast’s leading golf courses, beginning in Malindi before travelling through Vipingo, Diani, Mombasa and Nyali.
Players will compete at Malindi Golf and Country Club, the PGA Baobab Course at Vipingo Ridge, Diamonds Leisure Golf Club, Mombasa Golf Club and Nyali Golf and Country Club.
The programme begins on Monday, 3 August with the Malindi Golf and Country Club Ladies Open.
On Tuesday, 4 August, the tournament moves to the PGA Baobab Course at Vipingo Ridge. Around 120 golfers are expected to take part in the Vipingo round.
Wednesday, 5 August will be a rest and travel day, allowing players to make their way south before competition resumes at Diamonds Leisure Golf Club in Diani on Thursday, 6 August.
The Mombasa Golf Club Ladies Open, which is part of the Kenya Ladies Golf Union Golfer of the Year series, will be held on Friday, 7 August.
The festival will conclude at Nyali Golf and Country Club on Saturday, 8 August.
The festival offers golfers the unusual challenge of competing across several courses within one week. Each course brings different conditions, landscapes and playing demands, from the open fairways of Vipingo Ridge to the coastal setting of Mombasa Golf Club.
Players will compete under rules approved by the R&A, together with any local rules issued by the tournament committee.
A 95 per cent handicap allowance will apply. Division A will be open to golfers with handicaps from minus 5 to 20, while Division B will cover handicaps from 20 to 35.
Vipingo Ridge has confirmed that spectators may attend the lunch, prize giving and evening celebration with prior notice.
The buffet lunch costs KSh 2,500 per person and includes a welcome drink. Access is available to Vipingo Ridge members, guests staying at the property and other visitors who arrange their attendance in advance.
Bed only accommodation is also available at KSh 9,700 per person sharing on 3, 4 and 5 August. Meals are charged separately.
